Jaxson had a fast respiratory rate along with a low grade fever, elevated CRP and bands after 24 hours of life, so he was placed in the NICU. He had an infectious workup done with cultures and an LP and was placed on antibiotics. He did so well, the pediatricians let him stay in our room after 24 hours. He stayed on the antibiotics for 48 hours until everything came back negative. We finally got to come home on 8/15, his actual due date...
Finally coming home!!
The kids were waiting for us on the front porch. They could not wait to welcome their new baby brother to the house.
