5th Anniversary...

My grandmother always used to say she was celebrating the 39th anniversary of her 50th birthday (when she turned 89)... so I think it is fair to say that Meg celebrated the 5th anniversary of her 29th birthday today. Fair enough because she is still 29 to me...

Katelin had a great time helping me make a birthday card and cake for Meg. I told Katelin that we needed to put 34 candles on the cake. She said "that's too many...let's put ELEVEN" (eleven is Katelin's BIG number for a lot of something... or anything really old!!)

Katelin and Tye could not wait to get home from soccer practice to have cake. The first thing she told everyone at soccer today was that it was her mommy's birthday and she was going to have cake!!
Happy Birthday Meg!!

Elizabeth

Our good friend Elizabeth from our small group in Galveston came to Durham for a visit this last week. We went to the Durham Bulls game on Sat, visited the children's museum, and did a lot of playing with the kids. It was great to see Elizabeth and have a little bit of Galveston for the week.

Meg is 24 weeks and doing great.

DC

I went to Washington, DC for a conference last week and Meg brought the kids up to enjoy the spring weather. Here are the kids at the national harbor.

Tye loved his chocolate Gelato.

The hotel had this amazing fountain that Tye was amazed at. He was soaked at the end of the show...

We were on the 17th floor. The kids loved looking out the window at the cars and boats going by.
...and jumping on the bed.
The Metro.
Tye was so cute hanging on to the bar like his daddy...

Abe drove down from Boston to hang out for a couple of hours.

Welcome to our new blog! We thought this would be a fun way to share our pictures and lives with family and friends. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy!
Katelin celebrated her first birthday at her grandparents' house in Round Rock. We grilled hamburgers and had cake and homemade ice cream.

We went to the Grand Canyon for our vacation this year. We stayed in Sedona, Arizona. The mule ride was great fun! We suggest everyone seeing the Grand Canyon at least once in a lifetime.
