Potter visit

This past weekend, the Potter family came to visit. Steven, Brittany, Preston, and baby#2(!!) live in Arlington where Brittany is a Family Medicine resident and Steven works as an engineer for a flight simulation company. We have known the Potters since we lived in Galveston the first time. When we moved back, we jumped into their small group through Clear Creek Community Church. We don't get to see them too often, but when we do, it is just like old times and we pick up life just where we left off.

While in Galveston, we had a beautiful day for the beach. Galveston brought tons of new sand in for the beach after Ike and it was so soft and warm to the toes!! The kids had a blast. We then went to the Strand to eat at Yagas. Galveston had a "re-birth" party on the strand to celebrate Galveston coming back after the storm. We had a great time walking around down town seeing what has re-opened. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend!!

OK Steven...it's time for you to update your blog now...

What a fun weekend! The Potters look so great!! So good to hear Galveston is getting back on her feet! My girls want to visit desperately. We are coming to Texas in about a week but I don't think we are going to be able to make it that far south. We haven't been home in two years and you know we must make the west Texas swing! Y'all wouldn't happen to be going to west Texas anytime soon?

About removing marker from leather... Mr Clean Magic Eraser followed by much leather conditioner. Works well.

Loved getting caught up on your family! Your kids are so big!!! We miss yall.

Welcome to our new blog! We thought this would be a fun way to share our pictures and lives with family and friends. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy!
Katelin celebrated her first birthday at her grandparents' house in Round Rock. We grilled hamburgers and had cake and homemade ice cream.

We went to the Grand Canyon for our vacation this year. We stayed in Sedona, Arizona. The mule ride was great fun! We suggest everyone seeing the Grand Canyon at least once in a lifetime.
