We had originally planned on having her birthday party at the park (her most favorite place) with a cookout, but a HUGE rain storm gave us other plans (You would never know it, but the first picture here was taken at around three in the afternoon).
For our rain plan, we decided to pack everything up and head for The Spot. It was a great time despite the flash flood, lightning storm and tornado warnings.
Lots of cool presents.
Katelin wanted a cake with "Fancy Nancy" and "Fox in Socks" on it...we compromised on just Fancy Nancy. She got a Fancy Nancy doll to go along with the cake.
Nana, Grandad, Granddaddy, Kari, Brian, Keslyn, our church small group (John, Erika and Rhonda) and Katelin's friend James came to celebrate with us. Thanks for making a stormy day turn into a great "Fancy Nancy" party!!
For Katelin's actual birthday, we had leftover cake and let Katelin blow out her candle again...make a wish!!
