Beach Babes

A couple of weeks ago Meg and I took Katelin to the beach. This is the first time she has been since being able to walk. She used to hate even getting close to the water and would lift her legs up when you try to sit her down. This time was much more fun. She loved the waves and dancing around in the sand. I don't think she likes how the water or sand tastes, though!! The beach babes are pretty cute, huh?!?

Ironbabes

On Sunday, August 19, my friend Erika and I completed our first triathlon (Ironbabe sprint). Also becoming an "ironbabe" was my friend Tara. It was a 300 yd swim, 11 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. We all finished strong. There were a few unsteady moments on the bike for me, but overall I came out without any new bruises. : ) Kevin was an awesome supporter and also entertained Katelin through the race.

Like Mother Like Daughter

While Katelin was at Mammother's last week, she got her first pair of running shoes. You can tell by the huge Goose-Egg on her forehead that she takes after her mom when it comes to the running part!! (Just kidding babe : )

Jack and the Karate Kid

A couple of weekends ago Meg, K and I went to Round Rock. We got to see Randi-Ann perform in "And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon." Here she is as "Jack." Katelin liked the Spider from the Little Miss Muffett scene the best.

We also go to see Zane win another 1st place bobble-head trophy at his Karate match!! He was pretty excited. We were all pretty proud of him.

Katelin stayed with the Mammother, Granddaddy and Randi-Ann for the week. We sure did miss her. I think she grew a foot while we were gone!!

Katelin's wedding plans

Katelin, Meg and I flew to Midland over the weekend to Tucker Clevenger's (Meghan's cousin)wedding. Katelin loved the wedding. She loved watching all of the girls dancing at the reception, hanging out with her mammother and granddaddy, but I think she loved the quesadillas the most...man, that girl can eat!!! Before the wedding she had a whole kids meal from Chick-fil-a, then just a little while later had 4 quesadillas, crackers, and wedding cake!! Meg thinks K has started the wedding planning already...I didn't think that was even remotely funny.

Swingin'

A couple of weeks ago we went to Round Rock to take a Bolding family picture. While there, we enjoyed a burger cookout, Katelin enjoyed the swing, playing dress-up, and pool.

Meg finally finished her first year of Ophthalmology residency on Sat. Today was her first day of 2nd year, and she has started it off witth a bang. She has been on call this weekend and it has been nonstop. Please continue to pray for her as she juggles motherhood, residency, and putting up with me : )
This is us going to her end-of-the-year party. Isn't she beautiful!!! I can't believe God let me marry this girl. Proud of you, Meg.

5th Wedding Anniversary

On June 22, Kevin and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We can't believe it has already been 5 years! We feel so blessed to have found each other. Our life together has been such a fun adventure. We look forward to many more years! I love you, Kev!



Five years later...

She's Got It!

Man do kids learn fast. Katelin has really taken off. Katelin gets so excited!!! She can't help but bring joy to my life as she is walking and laughing.

Wobble-Boom!

Katelin has been more in the "boom" than the "wobble" stage, but today she perfected the wobble!! Yes, Katelin finally stood up and actually walked instead of falling down. She walked all the way from the living room across the entry-way into our bedroom without falling. Meghan actually got the whole thing on video, pretty cute. She is so funny when she walks (Katelin, not Meghan :). Meg said she looks like a drunken sailor. I guess she takes after her grandad (just kidding). If I knew how to add the video to the blog, I would. Trust me, it was priceless!!
