Christmas 2

Christmas number 2 on the 22nd was with my family. We drove to Caldwell and opened presents with my sister Kari, bro-in-law Brian, niece Keslyn, mom and dad.

Katelin got some great LOUD musical toys (thanks a lot mom, dad, Kari and Brian!!!)

She got a keyboard that has a volume button, but I don't think the manufacturer knows the meaning of quiet.

...A drum set complete with tambourine, maracas, and bells.

...and the favorite of all is the female doctor doll that sings four really cute songs (not being sarcastic here, they really are cute).

The beeper song:
"My beeper beep beeps when someone needs me quick.
I always have to hurry 'cause they might be sick.
I want to help the people who go beep, beep, beep,
but sometimes they call me when I'm down to sleep."

The Stethoscope song:
"A heartbeat is sometimes hard to hear,
but my stethoscope makes it loud and clear.
You heart is saying bump bump, bump bump.
It's got great rhythm and it sounds like a drum."

The Shot song:
"You can look away while I give you a shot.
Don't worry about the ouchie, it won't sting a lot.
This will hurt me more than it will hurt you.
It's the hardest thing that a doctor has to do."

The Thermometer song: (my favorite)
"A thermometer's a handy dandy tool.
It tells me if you're warm or cool.
If your temperature's high, you'll feel hot.
I'll see if you have a fever or not."

Christmas 1

We decided to have our "Flemmons family" Christmas on the 20th, before our long haul across TX. Here we are after a long day of work and daycare. We had to pry Katlin away from her "doddy" (dolly) crib, high chair and stoller to get the infamous family pic in front of the tree.

Obviously the first thing she saw when coming into the living room was the doll stuff. She LOVED the doll stroller. Poor doll. I think K strolled her through the hall, dining room and living room about 157 times, accidentally dumping her doll out of the stroller 22 of those times.

I think Katelin is going to make a great Big Sis, as long as baby bro doesn't mind a little adventure.

After strolling the doll around she finally realized that there was a crib for "night-night." We had a hard time getting her away for the rest of the presents, but she quickly go the hang of it.

Katelin loved the tree this year. She could not wait to turn the tree on when getting home. The cutest thing... she would pull her beach lounge chair (that her Aunt Randi-Ann gave her for her birthday) into the living room when we got home from work, sit down right in front of the tree and just stare. She would say "pitty pitty" (pretty, pretty), move the chair a little closer and do the same thing.
This is her "posing" in front of her tree (I had to hold her there, away from the doll stroller, to take a pic in front of it).

Festival of Lights

Meg, Katelin and I went to the Moody Gardens Festival of lights tonight and as you can see Katelin had a blast. They had music playing through the walk and I think she was dancing to her own music the whole way. Can you believe how cute she is!!

White Thanksgiving

Meg, Katelin and I went to Hobbs, NM over Thanksgiving. Much to our surprise, we woke up to a white Thanksgiving!! As you can see, Katelin loved her first snow experience. She actually attempted to throw snowballs with her cousins.

Don't you just love her red little nose!!

Haleigh, Zane, Valerie, Katelin, and Isabel loving the snow.

Zane loved his icicle sword.

Child Labor

It was a beautiful day in G today, so I decided to wash my truck. When I was filling up the bucket, Katelin loved the bubbles, so she decided to help me with the rag. After she saw me using the mit, she wanted it. See how it covers her whole arm. It was so cute.
Please dont turn me in for child labor!!

Trick or Treat

Meg and I took K to a few of our friend's houses on Halloween. She loved randomly walking in the street and loved her pumpkin bucket...especially after there was candy in it!!! She was so cute in her monkey outfit. Every once in a while you would randomly hear her say "oo-oo ee-ee" and act like a monkey. I wonder who taught her that?? Here are some pics of our friends Paul, Brittney and Hannah Rath, Rhonda Kurtz, and Chad, Catherine and Maddox Conner.

It's a....

Baby Brother!!!

Meg had her ultrasound today and this is what we found. Pretty hard to miss, but yeah, it's a boy. All other parts are in functioning order as well. It was so good to see him.
He's a pretty active little booger, so we may be in for a crazy ride.
Please continue to pray that Meg feels great and baby BOY!!! continues to develop normally. We have been so blessed thus far and appreciate everyone's excitement.

We're having a BOY!!! (yes, I'm a little excited about that:)

Fall Fest

We took Katelin to her first real Fall Fest last Thurs (well, she went last year but how much can you do at 6mo's?). She was a monkey, both literally and figuratively. She had a blast!! Her favorite thing was the "fun house" which was just the slide covered in material, but she loved it anyways. She fished for a duck, raced a bat against a ghost (monkey against cowgirl) and won!! I think we are going to take her to a select few houses for trick or treating. Stay tuned to see.

Dad's Valve

My dad had to have his aortic valve replaced a couple of weeks ago. The surgery went great and he is now back home feeling better than before the surgery. Here are some pics of us the day before his surgery hanging out with fam. Katelin and Keslyn sure do love their grandad!!

It was so awesome to see the support of our family as they came from across the state to sit with us in the waiting room. Mema, Pa, Sandra (dad's sis), Charlie (dad's bro), Herb (mom's bro). My cousin Brian even came in from San Antonio after a long day at work to hang out with us.
It was amazing to see and feel the love and support of what seemed like the whole town of La Grange in the waiting room. There were about 18-20 of us taking up the waiting room, waiting for hours. I appreciate everone that prayed for my dad and mom as they went through this. It truly was a blessing to be around everyone during that stressful waiting time.

Spaghetti!!

Don't you julst love spaghetti!! Katelin obviously does. I just could not resist catching her with this face. I think she will appreciate it later.

Schlitterbahn

Katelin Meg and I went to the Galveston Schlitterbahn about a month ago and had an awesome time. We went at about 10am and stayed until 4pm. Katelin loved the entire time. She slid down the frog's red tongue several times and we were sooo proud of her to be able to clinb the stairs and do it by herself!! She loved sitting on my belly and riding the rapids on the lazy river. I think we wore her out... she did not last one minuteafter we put her in the car.

Patutis 2

That's right, Katelin's is going to be a big sister!!! Meg is 17 weeks along, starting to starting to show and feel the baby move. Patutis 2 is due for arrival March 23, 2008.

Beach Babes

A couple of weeks ago Meg and I took Katelin to the beach. This is the first time she has been since being able to walk. She used to hate even getting close to the water and would lift her legs up when you try to sit her down. This time was much more fun. She loved the waves and dancing around in the sand. I don't think she likes how the water or sand tastes, though!! The beach babes are pretty cute, huh?!?

Welcome to our new blog! We thought this would be a fun way to share our pictures and lives with family and friends. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy!
Katelin celebrated her first birthday at her grandparents' house in Round Rock. We grilled hamburgers and had cake and homemade ice cream.

Katelin's one! (April 2007)
We went to the Grand Canyon for our vacation this year. We stayed in Sedona, Arizona. The mule ride was great fun! We suggest everyone seeing the Grand Canyon at least once in a lifetime.
