Tye...1 month down

Way to go Tye...you are officially one month old today!!! Tye is doing great. Thanks to everyone who has asked how he has been growing. No more every two hour feeding frenzy. He is eating well and growing well. He had a doc visit last Monday and was 10lb 9oz!! I guess he just needed a little formula boost to get going. We have been letting him wake up himself at night, so he has actually been sleeping from about 10:00 at night until 4:oo am. Meg doesn't know what to do with 6 hours continuous sleep!!
This is a pic of Tye just a few minutes ago...don't ever say I don't keep you up to date with the latest, greatest pics!!! I can't believe he slept through the flash.
Other milestones...
...He now enjoys his bath, loves having his hair washed with the sprayer in the sink. (thanks, mom for covering the privates :)
...Loves his swing. One of the only ways we can get him to sometimes take a nap during the day.
... First time at the beach. Met a lot of crazy kids at the end-of-the-year CMA BBQ (more pics to follow).
...Still cute...

Our baby Katelin is 2!!

Katelin turned two today and look how she has grown into a beautiful girl, milk moustache and all!! Katlelin has truly been a blessing to Meg and I. She is such a sweet girl and her little personality is showing every day. She is so sweet to her baby brother. She wants to hug and kiss, and "hoe him" (hold him). When Tye cries she says "heha hawtime" (he's having a hard time). Her smile and laugh are more contagious every day. Everywhere Katelin goes, she is singing (usually "tinkle tinkle lil tar") and hopping (clumsily). The past month she has really started growing and learning a ton. She counts to 13 (most of the time in order), knows her letter "I" (she puts the letter "I" to her eye when she sees it), started drinking out of her big girl cup (without spilling!!), and has had a vocabulary explosion (too many to keep track of on the sideline.) We can't wait to see how Katelin grows. We are having her real party next weekend all in "yeyyow" (whenever we ask what color she wants of anything, it's always "yeyyow"). More pics of the birthday party to follow next week.

3 weeks

Tye is 3 weeks old. He thinks his bed is comfy! He likes his sleep, just like daddy.
Our small group is blessing us with some meals. Mario, Eve, and Bella brought us some delicious baked ziti. Yummy! We are so blessed to have such great friends!
Katelin and Mommy get some loving in.
Katie (Kevin's mom) stayed the week with us. She helped so much! Katelin loves her Nana. Thank you, Nana!!
Our friend Bleu came to G-town for a short visit. It was so good to see him. He's got the touch- Tye was out in no time.

Tye: week 2...where does the time fly?

Week 2 was a long week. We have been having frequent doctor visits because Tye is not back to his birth weight yet. We went three days last week and have been trying pretty much everything to get him to gain weight. This weekend was an every two hour feeding frenzy to try and get his weight up by his visit tomorrow. (Can you say exhausting??) Our sweet back-door neighbor, Krystal Revai, is a pediatrician who specializes in lactation stuff and has gone out of her way several times to help out. She has done may house calls, snuck us in the back door of the clinic for weights, and done many phone consults with us numerous times on how to get Tye up and running. Thanks Krystal!!!My parents came on Tuesday and were here through Friday. They had to leave a little early to be with my sister, Kari. The weekend that Tye was born, Kari found out that she was pregnant. The next Monday, she went to the Ob and the ultrasound showed that there was no baby in her uterus. Friday, she went in for emergency surgery due to it being an ectopic pregnancy and they had to remove her last tube. Please keep Kari, Brian, and Keslyn in your prayers. This is their third ectopic pregnancy on top of many miscarriages. Just a very emotional time for the family.

Katelin loves to help in any way she can. Here she is "helping" me carry Tye out for one of our many doctor visits.
...did I mention that Katelin loves her "baby Tyeee"
We also had some sweet friends visit through the week. Here is Catherine getting her some Tye love.
Our friends Steven, Brittany and Preston Potter came to visit Saturday and Sunday. We had a great weekend together just like old times...only two kids more than the last time we hung out. Preston and Tye are going to be great buddies.
Welcome to our new blog! We thought this would be a fun way to share our pictures and lives with family and friends. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy!
Katelin celebrated her first birthday at her grandparents' house in Round Rock. We grilled hamburgers and had cake and homemade ice cream.

We went to the Grand Canyon for our vacation this year. We stayed in Sedona, Arizona. The mule ride was great fun! We suggest everyone seeing the Grand Canyon at least once in a lifetime.
